What this means for packing

A light jumper works well between the park and downtown façades. Carry rain protection and check the forecast before committing to a long waterfront walk. Use this general list as a starting point, then download Packtricia for a detailed personal list and quantities based on your actual dates, trip length, luggage, weather, preferences and plans.

Choosing a season

The best-season badge suggests months for general sightseeing, using the typical daytime temperatures and rainfall in our monthly guides. Beach holidays, festivals, winter sports and northern lights trips may suit different dates.

Climate methodology

Packing bands are approximately 2°C either side of the rounded monthly mean maximum (24°C) and minimum (17°C), from Casablanca’s published 1991–2020 averages. Historical normals are not a forecast or temperature limits. Rain wording is qualitative; check your travel-date forecast and conditions for any other Moroccan region.

Transport guide

Getting around Casablanca

Use the official Casatramway app or mobile website for tram and Casabusway route planning, stop information and traffic updates. The app also links to an e-boutique; a recharge or purchase does not itself complete ticket validation. Use station sales facilities or the operator’s listed agencies, follow the gates’ validation instructions and retain your ticket. This network does not cover every ordinary city bus, taxi or airport train. Walk within each neighbourhood and use a licensed taxi when the last connection is awkward.

Check the operator’s current service notices and ticket instructions before travelling.
